# Bonzah Business — Full Reference (llms-full) > Last updated: 2026-06-19 (v1) > Bonzah is a daily renter's insurance provider built for independent rental car operators, Turo and peer-to-peer hosts, gig drivers, and software platforms in the rental and mobility space. Partners offer per-24-hour coverage — RCLI, SLI, CDW, and PAI — to their renters at booking, designed to complement the operator's fleet policy. Bonzah Business (business.bonzah.com) is the partner-facing site; the consumer-facing checkout lives at bonzah.com. This document is the expanded reference: it preserves the summary in llms.txt and adds per-product coverage specs, geographic exclusions, the full claims process, integration detail, and the partner onboarding process. ## What Bonzah does Bonzah offers insurance across three audiences in the rental and mobility space: - **Renters Coverage** — daily coverage purchased at booking, in two tracks: - **Personal Use** for leisure renters and everyday trips: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Renter's Contingent Liability Insurance (RCLI), and Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI). - **Gig Use** for Uber, Lyft, and select delivery: Auto Physical Damage (APD), Liability, or both bundled. - **Fleet Coverage** for rental operators — monthly or annual commercial coverage on the operator's vehicles, with Off-Rent Coverage between trips. Available for private rental fleets, Turo and other peer-to-peer hosts, and hybrid operations. Bonzah specializes in operators transitioning off third-party platforms (e.g. Turo) to running independent. - **Platform Coverage** for rental management software platforms and marketplaces — General Liability, Tech Errors & Omissions, Auto Liability, and Embedded Insurance distribution that puts Renters Coverage directly inside the platform's booking flow so coverage is offered, priced, and bound at checkout. Bonzah also offers specialized lines for emerging mobility: Micromobility Insurance (e-bike rental platforms, scooter sharing programs, mobility marketplaces, fleet operators) and Autonomous & Future Mobility Insurance (autonomous vehicle operators, drone delivery platforms, autonomous farming equipment, robotics transportation solutions). Partner brands Bonzah works with include ACE Rental Cars, SIXT, Europcar, Avis, Advantage Rent A Car, and Alamo Rent A Car. ## Pricing (per 24h) Partner-pitch pricing on business.bonzah.com: - Renter's Contingent Liability Insurance (RCLI): from $20.18 / 24h — primary state-minimum liability. - Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI): $20.18 / 24h — bodily injury per person up to $100,000, aggregate up to $500,000, property damage $10,000. - Collision Damage (CDW): $26.95 / 24h — up to $35,000 vehicle damage, $1,000 deductible, primary for accidents between vehicles. - Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): $6.90 / 24h — renter loss of life $50,000, passenger loss of life $5,000, accidental medical $1,000, personal effects $500. Coverage is sold in 24-hour increments. Trips are limited to a maximum of 30 consecutive days (extensions issued as new policies, must be contiguous). Insurance must be purchased before the rental period begins. Note: consumer-facing pricing on bonzah.com may differ. Loss Damage Waiver (LDW), described on bonzah.com at $9.60–$42.80 per calendar day, is not currently sold via business.bonzah.com partner-pitch surfaces. ## Per-product coverage specifications ### Renters Coverage — Personal Use **Renter's Contingent Liability Insurance (RCLI) — State Minimum Primary Liability** - Primary rental car liability that covers the state minimum requirements across U.S. states (limits vary by state). - Example (California): aggregate $60,000; bodily injury per person $30,000; bodily injury aggregate $60,000; property damage $15,000. No deductible. - Eligible vehicles: private passenger vehicles that seat 8 people or fewer (vehicle exclusions apply); eligible for peer-to-peer networks (Turo) and car share companies. - Covers non-rental vehicle damages due to liability by the renter or car share user. - Does not cover damage to the rental vehicle itself (that is CDW). Excludes rideshare/delivery/courier use, and PIP/UM/UIM where allowed by law. - Minimum age 21; valid for a domestic or international driver's license or international driver's permit available in English. 24-hour increments. All losses must be reported within 30 days of the date of loss. **Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI)** - Must be purchased with RCLI. Provides excess coverage beyond the state minimum. - Limit: $300,000 or $500,000 (depending on state) per accident in aggregate (not in addition to state minimum); $100,000 per person per accident; $10,000 additional property damage (in addition to the state minimum property damage limit). No deductible. - Excess of any other applicable insurance, including personal or corporate auto policies covering individual renters/drivers. - Same eligibility, exclusions, age, license, increment, and 30-day reporting rules as RCLI. **Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)** - Covers up to $35,000 for rental/car share vehicle damage due to a collision with another vehicle. Reimbursed up to the maximum benefit, less a $1,000 deductible. - Primary collision coverage. Eligible for private passenger vehicles seating 8 or fewer (exclusions apply), peer-to-peer networks (Turo), and car share companies. Vehicles valued up to $100,000 can be insured; CDW pays up to $35,000 of damage. - Not covered: rideshare/delivery/courier use; vehicle theft; single-car accidents; war, insurrection, confiscation/seizure, nuclear events, illegal acts, misrepresentation, intoxicated persons, intentional damage, wear and tear, or mechanical issues; non-vehicle damages due to renter liability; medical/PIP/UM/UIM. - Does not cover third-party liability when the renter is at fault (that is RCLI/SLI). Minimum age 21; valid driver's license (available in English). 24-hour increments. All losses must be reported within 30 days of the date of loss. **Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)** - Up to $50,000 for renter/car share user loss of life, $5,000 for passenger loss of life, $1,000 for accidental medical expenses, and up to $500 for personal effects (limitations apply). A $25 deductible applies to personal effects coverage. - Not rental car (vehicle damage) coverage. ### Renters Coverage — Gig Use For renters driving for a TNC (rideshare platform such as Uber or Lyft) or select delivery platforms during the rental: - **Auto Physical Damage (APD)** — collision and comprehensive protection for the vehicle itself. - **Liability** — bodily injury and property damage coverage for third parties while on a gig trip. - **Full** — APD and liability bundled for end-to-end vehicle and third-party protection. Important: most rental and personal auto policies (including standard policies from carriers like Progressive, GEICO, and others) specifically exclude TNCs, paid passenger work, and delivery work. A renter relying on standard daily auto rental coverage or a personal auto policy for gig driving can have a claim denied. Renters select the coverage that fits how the vehicle is actually being used at booking. ### Fleet Coverage (operators) - Monthly or annual commercial policy that protects the operator's rental fleet vehicles directly — purchased by the operator, in force across the fleet. - Includes Off-Rent Coverage for the periods vehicles are not on rent, closing the gap between trips. - Available for private rental fleets, Turo and other peer-to-peer hosts, and hybrid operations. - Complements the daily Renters Coverage customers buy: Fleet Coverage handles operator-side risk on owned vehicles; Renters Coverage shifts trip-level risk to the renter for the days they drive. ### Platform Coverage (software platforms & marketplaces) - **General Liability** — third-party bodily injury and property damage for the day-to-day operating risk of running a business in the rental space. - **Technology Errors & Omissions (Tech E&O)** — protection against software defects, integration failures, and service disputes. - **Auto Liability** — third-party auto liability for vehicles operating across the platform, sitting alongside the operator's own policy. - **Cyber Coverage** — protection for the platform's data and systems risk. - **Embedded Insurance** — Renters Coverage delivered inside the platform's booking flow; the right policy is offered, priced, and bound at checkout, with the premium collected as part of the transaction. ### Other / emerging mobility lines - **Micromobility Insurance** — for operators powering shared and on-demand micromobility: e-bike rental platforms, scooter sharing programs, mobility marketplaces, and fleet operators behind e-bikes, scooters, and other lightweight vehicles. - **Autonomous & Future Mobility Insurance** — for autonomous and emerging-technology providers: autonomous vehicle operators, drone delivery platforms, autonomous farming equipment, and robotics transportation solutions. ## Geographic coverage and restrictions - Coverage is offered across the United States and Canada. - The primary Renters Coverage products (CDW, RCLI, SLI, PAI) are **NOT available** for rentals or car shares originating in **New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania,** or **Canada**. - CDW specifically is not available in **Canada**; RCLI and SLI may extend into Canada on trips originating in the U.S. but are not available for rentals originating in the excluded states or in Canada. - Eligibility: vehicles seating 8 people or fewer (luxury/exotic exclusions apply); vehicles valued up to $100,000. ## Duration, start time, and extensions - Coverage is sold in 24-hour increments. Example: 3 days purchased for July 1 at 10:00 AM ends July 4 at 10:00 AM; a return after that incurs an extra day. (All times local.) - Insurance begins at the rental/car share pickup time in the agreement; if no start time is specified, at the scheduled pickup time on the reservation; absent both, at the purchase time. - Insurance must be purchased before the rental period begins. If the vehicle is picked up or driven before the insurance start date/time, coverage is null and void (contact Bonzah for an immediate refund). - Maximum trip duration: 30 consecutive days for CDW, RCLI, SLI, and PAI (31 days for LDW where offered on bonzah.com). - Extensions are issued as new contiguous policies purchased before the current policy expires; any lapse may void the entire policy. A new photo inspection at extension may be required at an additional fee. - Cancellation: CDW, RCLI, SLI, and PAI may be canceled up to 10 days before the rental period begins (refund requested via the Bonzah orders page). ## Claims process - File via the Bonzah Insurance Claim Form on JotForm: https://submit.jotform.com/Bonzah_Claims/bonzah-insurance-claim-form - Send all relevant information to claims@bonzah.com. - Required information: - Signed car rental agreement (copy), including rental start and end times. - Copy of the police report if another car is involved (other driver's details must be on the report). - Damage estimates for injuries to persons or damage to property. - Photos of the scene at the time of the claim/accident/incident, with a description of the circumstances. - If applicable: copy of a current auto insurance policy and/or the credit card agreement used for the rental. - Bonzah passes relevant information to an independent third-party adjuster, who approves or denies the claim and the amount. - Renter-initiated: the rental and policy are in the renter's name, and renter participation/records may be required throughout. - All losses must be reported within 30 days of the date of loss. - Typical payout window: 3–5 weeks after a complete submission. - Deductibles: up to $1,000 on CDW (partner-pitch CDW product), $0 on RCLI/SLI, up to $25 on PAI. - Loss of Use is not covered on the repair of the vehicle. ## Integration / embedding - Bonzah plugs into the partner's booking flow, checkout, or reservation system — wherever renters buy — so the right coverage is shown at the right moment, the premium is collected as part of the transaction, and the policy is bound automatically. No redirects, no second checkout, no extra step for the customer. - Bonzah is already embedded inside the rental management platforms many operators run their business on, so for operators on a major platform, coverage may be available with minimal lift (often pre-integrated). - For operators with custom or in-house systems, Bonzah works with the partner's team to scope the integration directly. - Embedded flow: Your booking flow (marketplace, app, or reservation system) → Bonzah (coverage offered & bound) → Renter checkout (one transaction, one receipt). ## Partner onboarding process - Partnership inquiries are submitted via the lead form on every page (CTAs labelled "Click here", "Get started", "Get a Quote", "Get a Fleet Quote", "Talk to Bonzah", "Embed Bonzah"), delivered via Formspree to admin@bonzah.com, with optional dual-delivery to a GoHighLevel CRM. - Bonzah is positioned for fast onboarding ("Easy onboarding. Start working with Bonzah today!"). - Bonzah works alongside top carriers, auto rental underwriters, and third-party claims adjusters to keep the process transparent, fair, and accountable for both partners and renters. ## Key pages - [Home](https://business.bonzah.com/) — the operator pitch: Renters Coverage, Fleet Coverage, Turo-to-private transition, Platforms, and Embedded Insurance, with a 6-question partner FAQ. - [Alternative Homepage](https://business.bonzah.com/alt-homepage) — longer-form partner landing page with the full authoritative insurance FAQ (synced verbatim with bonzah.com/faq). - [About](https://business.bonzah.com/about) — Bonzah's mission, story, and team.
